Environmental Assessment (EA)

WisDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) completed the environmental assessment (EA) for the US 51 (Stoughton Road) North Study. The EA was signed on December 9, 2024. The EA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act (WEPA) and the FHWA regulations for preparing environmental documents. Note that an updated version of this document, the EA/FONSI, is available which includes modifications to the project design, new project information and the results of the public hearing.
