Get Involved and Stay Informed

WisDOT will offer a variety of learning and public involvement opportunities throughout the study. This page provides the latest updates, upcoming Public Involvement Meeting (PIM) details and contact information for the WisDOT study team.

Upcoming

WisDOT anticipates holding the first PIM for the study in the fall of 2025. Details about the meeting will be posted as soon as they are available.

Stakeholders and Committees

To ensure transparency and gather valuable input throughout the study, WisDOT has established several stakeholder committees. These groups help guide the study by sharing insights and distributing information within their networks.

Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

The CAC connects WisDOT and businesses and community organizations along the corridor. This committee:

  • Provides feedback on communication strategies, design needs and corridor issues
  • Shares environmental concerns and community priorities
  • Includes large employers and community groups who can help distribute study updates

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

The TAC is made up of local and regional transportation professionals, including:

  • Public works departments
  • Municipal planning staff
  • Law enforcement agencies

This committee offers technical input on study needs, alternative development and jurisdiction specific considerations.

Local Official Advisory Committee (LOAC)

The LOAC includes elected and appointed officials from:

  • State, tribal, county and municipal governments
  • Other public agencies within the corridor

This group provides leadership input on study goals, alternatives and environmental impacts. Members also help share updates with their constituents and stakeholders.
