US 14 Rehab Project – Walworth County

Location

Project Overview

WisDOT is proposing to improve approximately 7.7 miles of US 14 in Walworth County, from County K to the Illinois State Line. Project improvements include:

  • 4.5-inch mill and overlay between County K and the northern limits of the Village of Walworth.
  • Grading and drainage improvements (ditching) are anticipated at multiple locations.
  • Urban pavement replacement with new curb and gutter within the Village of Walworth.
  • Rural pavement replacement and new ditching between the southern limits of the Village of Walworth and the Illinois state line.

Public Involvement

A public involvement meeting was held on March 20, 2024 to share information on the project and collect public input. Materials and exhibits shared at the meeting are posted below:

Traffic Impacts

Traffic staging options are still being evaluated.

Roundabouts

The intersection at County K and US 14, and the intersection at WIS 67, Lakeville Road, and US 14, will be converted to a single-lane roundabout to improve vehicular safety. Find more information on roundabouts on WisDOT's roundabout page.

Schedule

Construction is currently scheduled for 2028.
