Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing to reconstruct approximately 0.6 miles of WIS 60 (Washington Street), between 1st Avenue and 10th Avenue in the village of Grafton, Ozaukee County.
Proposed Improvements
- Concrete replacement of pavement
- Curb and gutter replacement
- Curb ramp reconstruction to meet ADA standards
- Traffic signal replacement and added left turn lanes at WIS 60 (Washington Street) and 1st Avenue intersection
- Added bike lanes between 2nd Avenue and 9th Avenue
- Railroad crossing reconstruction with gate arms for vehicles and pedestrians
Traffic Impacts
Potential traffic impacts are still being determined.
Schedule
Construction could start as early as 2028, pending available funding.
Public Involvement
WisDOT hosted an in-person public involvement meeting for this project on Thursday, March 13, at Grafton Village Hall. The exhibits below were on display during the meeting.
