Location
WIS 91, WIS 49 South to Berlin, Green Lake County
Project Overview
The proposed project is to preserve the function, operation, and safety by addressing roadway deficiencies, curb ramp deficiencies and safety concerns. This segment of road is showing signs of pavement distress in the form of joint spalling and cracking. Some curb ramps along the project corridor do not meet current Americans with Disability Act standards.
Proposed improvements included:
- Replace the existing asphalt pavement and curb and gutter.
- Upgrade existing curb ramps to meet current ADA standards where possible
- Install new pavement marking
- The Center Street intersection will be evaluated for a left turn lane
- Sewer and water will be replaced east of Johnson Street to the city limits
Traffic Impacts
WIS 91 will be closed and detoured during construction. The detour route is anticipated to use WIS 49/WIS 21/WIS 116. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.
Real Estate
Permanent right-of-way and/or Temporary Limited Easements (TLE) may be required for the upgrades to the sidewalk and curb ramps in the city of Berlin.
