Inter-Tribal Task Force

The Inter-Tribal Task Force was established through the partnership agreement and serves as a policy advisory group for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT).

Members

Task force members consist of statewide and regional Tribal liaisons and other agency employees, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and representatives appointed by each respective Tribal government.

Meetings

The task force meets on a bi-monthly basis and has developed numerous tribal initiatives such as the Tribal transportation safety program, Tribal business and labor development capacity building project, long term transportation planning consultation and multiple training opportunities.

Work plan

The task force develops an Annual Work Plan that focuses on transportation areas related to economic development (business/labor), safety, shared resources, and infrastructure and mobility.

The College of Menominee Nation coordinates the functions of the Inter-Tribal Task Force through an intergovernmental agreement it has with WisDOT.
