WIS 59 Resurfacing (Whitehall Street to Brookfield Road) - Waukesha County

 

Project Overview

This proposed project will make various improvements along WIS 59 (Arcadian/Greenfield Avenue) between Whitehall Road and Brookfield Road in Waukesha County.

Proposed Improvements

The proposed improvements include resurfacing WIS 59 within the project corridor. A section of WIS 59, from approximately 1,100 feet west of Barker Road to approximately 300 feet east of Barker Road, will have the pavement replaced.

Other improvements include:

  • Traffic signal replacement
  • Beam guard replacement
  • Reconstruct curb ramps to meet ADA standards
  • Crosswalk realignment
  • Drainage structure maintenance and repairs
  • New pavement marking and signing

Traffic Impacts

Long-term lane closures and potential detours will be necessary to complete the proposed project. Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained throughout construction.

Schedule

This project is scheduled for construction in 2030 but may be advanced to 2028, pending available funding.

Public Involvement

A public involvement meeting for this project was held on May 22, 2024. Public involvement meetings are an opportunity for the public to get project updates and provide feedback to the project team.
