Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing a resurfacing project on US 45 (Lovers Lane Road) between St. Martins Road and County BB (Rawson Avenue) in the City of Franklin, Milwaukee County.
Proposed Project Details
The purpose of the proposed project is to address deteriorating pavement, outdated traffic signal equipment, drainage maintenance concerns, and multimodal issues. Improvements include:
- Resurface pavement throughout project limits.
- Replace traffic signals.
- Regrade ditches at spot locations.
- Construct a shared-use path along US 45.
Public Involvement
Public Involvement Meeting #2
WisDOT will host a Public Involvement Meeting on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. The open house meeting will be held from 4 - 6 p.m. at the Franklin Public Library (9151 W. Loomis Rd.). The public will be able to learn about proposed improvements, see required real estate acquisitions, get questions answered, and provide input to the project team. Meeting materials will be posted to this site after the meeting.
