Proposed Improvements
- Replace the pavement on approximately 2.2 miles of WIS 181 (Wauwatosa Road).
- Replace existing traffic signals at Donges Bay Road.
- Update all curb ramps to meet WisDOT/ADA standards.
- Fill in sidewalk gaps along west side of WIS 181 between Donges Bay Road and Mequon Road.
Traffic Impacts
Traffic will use crossovers to allow construction crews to work on one side of the road at a time. No detours will be posted for this project. Temporary crossovers will be located south of County Line Road and north of Mequon Road.
Real Estate
WisDOT is proposing two small Permanent Limited Easements (PLEs) for the ends of the existing twin culvert located 400 feet north of County Line Road, on the Mequon nature Preserve, for maintenance access to the pipes.
