Project Overview

The existing pavement is showing signs of distress in the form of low level alligator cracking, longitudinal and transverse cracking, patching, weathering and rutting. The purpose of this project is to preserve the existing roadway.

The proposed improvements include:

  • Milling 1.75 inches of the existing pavement and placing new pavement

  • Replacing select culverts

Traffic Impacts

WIS 139 will remain open to traffic using temporary single-lane closures and lane shifts. Flaggers will direct traffic while construction is ongoing.

No real estate impacts are anticipated for this project.

Schedule

  • Local Officials: February 2025

  • Public Involvement Mailing: April/May 2025

  • Complete Project Design: May 2027

  • Construction: 2030

    • Work could occur as early as 2028.
