WIS 69 (Bushnell Creek to Cow Path Lane), Monroe to New Glarus - Green County
Project overview
The pavement on this section of WIS 69, between Bushnell Creek in the Town of Monroe and Cow Path Lane in New Glarus, is deteriorating with extensive cracking. Approximately 12.5 miles of WIS 69 will be resurfaced.
Additional improvements include:
- Install centerline and shoulder rumble strips
- Add new pavement markings
- Replace deteriorating culverts
- Replace guardrail
Improvements will take place at the following intersections:
- Wittenwyler Road and Cemetery Road
- Addition of southbound left turn lanes
- County C/Urban Road
- Addition of a single-lane roundabout
- Little Sugar River
- WIS 69 bridge over the Little Sugar River in Monticello will be repaired, including a deck replacement

- This meeting discussed improvements to 4 intersections along WIS 69
- June 2021 - Virtual Public Involvement Meeting
- 2026 - Construction scheduled
Traffic impacts/detours
- Traffic will be maintained using flaggers for the majority of the project.
- WIS 69 will be closed for a short time to replace culvert pipes, complete bridge and aroundabout work.
- A signed detour route will follow WIS 11, WIS 81, WIS 78 and WIS 39.
