Project overview

Proposed plans will mill and overlay 4.5 miles of WIS 33. The project involves milling 3.5 inches of the existing asphaltic pavement and placing a new mat of asphalt. In addition existing guardrail will be replaced, curb ramps will be upgraded to meet ADA requirements.

The proposed resurfacing overlay will consist of the following:

  • Remove 3.5 inches of existing asphaltic pavement and place 4 inches of HMA
  • 3-ft paved shoulders
  • Update guardrail to current standards
  • Update curb ramps in Wonewoc to meet ADA standards

WIS 33 will remain open to traffic during construction utilizing flagging operations.
