WIS 16 (CMSTPP Railroad bridge to WIS 26), Reeseville - Dodge County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing improvements along WIS 16. The 9.5-mile project starts at the Chicago, Milwaukee, Saint Paul and Pacific (CMSTPP) Railroad bridge and ends at WIS 26.
Proposed improvements:
- Pavement replacement
- Culvert maintenance and replacement
- Guardrail upgraded to meet current standards
- Bridge rehabilitation
Some temporary and permanent real estate acquisitions will be needed.
Schedule
- May 13, 2026 - Local Officials Meeting
- May 13, 2026 - Public Involvement Meeting
- 2031 - Construction anticipated, advanceable to 2030 depending on funding
Traffic impacts/detours
WIS 16 will be closed and detoured utilizing US 151, WIS 33 and WIS 26.
