US 18 and Vineyard Road intersection, Prairie du Chien - Crawford County
Project overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is in the process of developing plans for proposed improvements at the US 18 and Vineyard Road intersection in Crawford County. The purpose of this project is to improve safety by increasing the sight distance for both east and west bound left turn lanes on US 18. Improvements include:
- Offsetting left turn lanes
- Shortening width of medians
- Updating curb ramps
- Installing new traffic signals
Schedule
- March 2026 - Public input requested
- 2029 - Construction anticipated

US 18 will remain open with single lane closures
