Location
The project involves the bridge that carries WIS 65 over a branch of the Kinnickinnic River at the edge of the St. Croix County city of River Falls.
Overview
The bridge that carries the Kinnickinnic River over WIS 65 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing:
- Overlaying the bridge deck with concrete
- Making concrete repairs to the bridge abutments
- Replacing concrete approach slabs and a wing
- Resurfacing the roadway approaches
Schedule
Construction currently is scheduled in 2028.
Traffic Impacts
During construction, WIS 65 will be closed to traffic.
- Traffic will be detoured via WIS 35 and I-94.
