Location
The project is located on WIS 27 from WIS 70 East in Ojibwa to WIS 40 in Radisson, all in Sawyer County.
Overview
The pavement on this section of WIS 27 is showing signs of deterioration. To address this and other issues, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is proposing:
- Milling a portion of the existing pavement surface, pulverizing the remaining asphalt, mixing the material with the existing gravel base and stabilizing agents to provide a reclaimed base layer and placing hot-mix asphalt over the roadway
- Replacing curb, gutter, sidewalk curb ramps and storm sewer in the urban portion of the project
- Replacing a large culvert on Hemlock Spur Creek with a box culvert
- Repairing, replacing or adjusting culverts and guardrail in the rural segment
Real Estate
The proposed improvements will require right-of-way acquisition in the form of temporary or permanent easements or permanent acquisition. Property owners can learn more about their rights
here. The information also is available in
Hmong and
Spanish.
