Project Overview
We are proposing to improve 1.15 miles of WIS 23 in the city of Princeton from the Fox River Bridge to Old Green Lake Road. The existing pavement is showing signs of deterioration and some existing curb ramps do not meet current American with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. The project will address pavement and curb ramp deficiencies on WIS 23. Proposed improvements include:
- Milling and resurfacing of WIS 23
- Replacing the ADA-deficient curb ramps within the project limits.
- Replacing pavement marking
Traffic Impacts
WIS 23 will remain open to traffic throughout construction. Motorists can expect to encounter lane closures with flagging operations. Pedestrians will be detoured to adjacent intersections during replacement of the curb ramps. Access to property and businesses will be maintained during construction.
Real Estate
Additional right of way will be required for this project. Small areas of right of way and temporary easements will be required for curb ramp reconstruction. WisDOT expects to begin real estate acquisition in Summer 2024.
