Carbon Reduction Program

The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) of 2021 established a Carbon Reduction Program (CRP). This new federal program provides funding for projects that reduce transportation emission​s and requires states to develop comprehensive carbon reduction strategies.​​

The application period for the 2025-2028 Carbon Reduction Supplemental Program cycle has closed. The department is currently examining potential opportunities to fund additional CRP projects, and should that determination be made, we will send out updated communications to all potential local sponsors.
