Click on the plate to apply for your own National Guard license plate

National Guard license plates are available to any Wisconsin motorist who qualifies as a current or retired National Guard member. An eligible person must be an owner or lessee of the vehicle, or the beneficiary of a trust that owns or leases the vehicle. A copy of your DD214, NGB Form 22, or a MV2929 signed by your commanding officer should be uploaded during the final step of the online application process.
If you are a current or former member of one of eight Wisconsin National Guard units, you are eligible to receive one unit
plate decal for an additional fee of $20.
No special parking privileges are provided with National Guard plates.
Personalizing your National Guard license plates is optional. Visit Personalized plate search to find out if your choice for a personalized license plate is available. WisDOT may refuse to issue, or may recall after issuance, a request that may be offensive to good taste or decency, misleading or conflicts with any other license plate. Please allow an additional 4 weeks for delivery of a personalized plate.
DMV service centers do not issue National Guard license plates.
