Placed in 1988, the two sets of culvert pipes – one at First Trestle Creek between Main Street and Bush Brothers Drive and the other at Diamond Valley Creek between East Street and County M South – are showing signs of deterioration and reaching the end of their services lives. WisDOT is proposing the following at both locations:
- Replace the culvert pipes with a two-cell concrete box culvert.
- Reconstruct approximately 100 feet of roadway approach.
- Grade approach slopes.
- Remove guardrail.
- Mark the pavement.
During construction at:
- First Trestle Creek: US 12 will be closed, with through traffic detoured via Ted Anderson and Bush Brothers drives.
- Diamond Valley Creek: US 12/WIS 27 will remain open to a single lane of traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals.
- Local, business and emergency access will be maintained in the work zone.
Construction currently is scheduled for 2028.
