- A presentation is planned for 5:30 p.m.
-
Where: Osseo City Hall, 13713 8th St.
The existing pavement on US 10 is nearing the end of its service life. To address this and other issues, WisDOT is proposing to:
- Remove the asphalt pavement and replace it with 6 inches of underlying base aggregate and 8.5 inches of concrete pavement.
- Replace storm sewer.
- Replace sidewalk, curb ramps, curb, gutter and pavement markings.
- Repair or replace existing concrete pavement at spot locations near I-94.
- Make spot repairs to the bridge over the north fork of the Buffalo River.
In a separate project completed at the same time, the city plans to replace sanitary sewer and water main.
During construction:
- There is a short section of existing concrete pavement repair and replacement near I-94 that will be done using lane closures controlled by flagging.
- The remainder of US 10 will be closed, and through traffic will be detoured.
- Traffic between US 53 South and I-94 will be detoured via either US 53, County HH and I-94.
- Traffic between Nelson Road and US 53 South will be detoured via WIS 121, I-94 and County HH.
- The contractor will be required to maintain a gravel surface for access to businesses and residences in the project limits.
- A minimum of two intersections will remain open for north and south traffic within the project limits.
- Three intersections will remain open for pedestrian traffic traveling north and south during the first stage of construction. For stage 2, pedestrian traffic will be able to move about freely on newly constructed sidewalk.
Construction is scheduled for 2025.
