Governor Evers approves drainage improvement project in Ozaukee County

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers has approved a $229,000 drainage improvement project along County LL at I-43 in Ozaukee County. Vinton Construction Company is the prime contractor for the project. Work is scheduled to begin October 6. 

Improvements include:

  • Reroute the existing drainage system to a new storm sewer pipe on the east side of County LL
  • Embankment repair and maintenance 
Traffic Impacts:

Due to the location of the sewer work, County LL at I-43 will be impassable during construction. Additional traffic impacts include: ​
  • Shoulder closures on I-43 at County LL. 
  • A detour will be posted utilizing County KW, County A, and County LL.
Schedule: 

Construction is scheduled to take approximately one (1) month. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
