Work includes extending an existing wall, adding two new ones in Hudson

The start of a noise wall project on WIS 35 south of I-94 between Stageline Road and Hanley Road/High Ridge Drive in the St. Croix County city of Hudson has been pushed back a week to Monday, Aug. 18.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is planning to:
- Extend an existing noise wall on the west side of WIS 35 south of the existing noise wall between the highway and Heritage Boulevard
- Add a noise wall on the east side of WIS 35 southwest of Meadows Park and northwest of the Canary Way cul-de-sac
- Add a noise wall on the east side of WIS 35 between the highway and Meadowlark Drive and Meadowlark Lane
WIS 35 South will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter lane and shoulder closures as work is completed. Construction is scheduled for completion in mid-September.
Zenith Tech, Inc. of Waukesha is the prime contractor on the $3.57 million project.
