Governor Evers approves noise wall project on WIS 35 South

​​​Work includes extending an existing wall, adding two new ones in Hudson

To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Gov. Tony Evers has signed a $3.57 million contract with Zenith Tech, Inc. of Waukesha for a noise wall project on WIS 35 south of I-94 between Stageline Road and Hanley Road/High Ridge Drive in the St. Croix County city of Hudson. Construction is scheduled to start Monday, Aug. 11. 

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is planning to:

  • Extend an existing noise wall on the west side of WIS 35 south of the existing noise wall between the highway and Heritage Boulevard
  • Add a noise wall on the east side of WIS 35 southwest of Meadows Park and northwest of the Canary Way cul-de-sac
  • Add a noise wall on the east side of WIS 35 between the highway and Meadowlark Drive and Meadowlark Lane

During construction, WIS 35 South will remain open to traffic, but motorists will encounter lane and shoulder closures as work is completed.

Construction is scheduled for completion in mid-September.
