St. Croix Crossing routine inspection to result in lane closures

Release date: July 7, 2025

Motorists using the St. Croix Crossing will encounter single-lane closures from Monday through Thursday, July 14-17, as the structure is inspected by Wisconsin Department of Transportation bridge engineers.

Opened to traffic in 2017, the bridge carries MN 36 and WIS 64 over the St. Croix River between Washington County in Minnesota and St. Croix County in Wisconsin and is inspected every two years.

During the 2025 inspection, daily lane closures will occur between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. for eastbound traffic and between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for westbound traffic.

Motorists might experience delays and should plan accordingly.
