WisDOT seeking input on highway safety improvement projects

Roundabouts planned at intersections on WIS 35 and WIS 64 in St. Croix County

Release dates: May 20, 2026

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a public involvement meeting to share details about two highway safety improvement projects that propose adding roundabouts at intersections on WIS 35 and WIS 64 in St. Croix County.

  • When: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28
    • The meeting will follow the open-house format; there will be no presentation.
  • Where: Stanton Town Hall, 2245 County T, Deer Park

The intersections of WIS 35 and the south junction of County V north of Hudson in the town of St. Joseph and WIS 64 and County T east of New Richmond in the town of Stanton have a high number of crashes. To reduce the number of crashes and lessen their severity, WisDOT is proposing:

  • Building a three-leg single-lane roundabout at WIS 35 and County V South
  • Building a four-leg single lane roundabout at WIS 64 and County T

Traffic impacts during construction for both projects will be decided during the design process.

Construction for both projects currently is scheduled for 2030.
