To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $7,781,725 contract to resurface WIS 69 between Brushnell Creek in Monroe and Cow Path Lane in New Glarus, Green County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin May 26. A public meeting is scheduled for May 21, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Monticello Village Hall, 238 North Main Street, Monticello to discuss construction schedule and impacts to traffic.

Rock Roads, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve 12.5 miles of pavement along WIS 69 between Bushnell Creek and Cow Path Lane. WIS 69 will be closed and detoured to through traffic during culvert replacement. For the remainder of construction WIS 69 will remain open to traffic under flagging operations.

Project completion is scheduled for November 1, 2026. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
