Release date: May 8, 2026
To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers recently signed a $1,084,894 contract to repair the bridge deck on the 19th Avenue bridges over I-90, near Lemonwier in Juneau County. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin May 11.
Lunda Construction Company is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve bridge deck deterioration on two bridges over I-90. The project will overlay concrete on both bridge decks, replace pavement on roadway approaches, areas between the bridges and update guardrail.
During construction, I-90 will remain open with nighttime lane closures. 19th Avenue will be closed to traffic.
Project completion is scheduled for late July 2026. The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
