Stop signs, pavement markings to be added on US 12 at Holly Avenue
Release date: May 8, 2025
US 12 (Menomonie Street) and County H (Holly Avenue) in Elk Mound is being converted to an all-way stop intersection Monday to improve safety for motorists.
Currently, there are stop signs on the north and south legs of Holly Avenue at US 12. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is converting the intersection to an all-way stop to address angle crashes due to sight issues.
Crews from the Dunn County Highway Department will install stop signs on the east and west legs of US 12. In addition, pavement marking crews will be painting stop bars on US 12 before the intersection.
The intersection will remain open during the work, but motorists will encounter lane closures.
