Online options to find locations, services available
Wisconsin DMV makes it convenient to find other DMV locations at
wisconsindmv.gov/centers. The DMV Algoma Service Center, 514 4th St., has convenient hours Monday and Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Services with the highest demand that are available online (
wisconsindmv.gov) include:
- Renewing annual vehicle registrations
- Titling a vehicle
- Ordering replacement driver license or ID cards and changing one’s address.
With nearly every vehicle transaction available online, most Wisconsin residents can access DMV services without needing to visit a DMV office. Typical DMV customers need only visit a DMV office once every eight years to renew their driver license or ID. Many customers over age 65 may obtain non-expiring IDs, if they choose, and never need to return to a DMV office.
For those who plan to visit a DMV for driver license or ID services, streamlined online features can make the process even faster. Scheduling an appointment, completing the applications and obtaining a checklist of required documents can be done at home.
In addition, many in-person services are also provided by third-party vendors (such as kiosks at grocery stores) and/or via traditional mail.
