Multiple road closures due to flooding in Northeast Wisconsin

Motorists are urged to avoid the affected areas and use the recommended alternate routes.

Release date: April 16, 2026

(Green Bay, WI) This is an immediate traffic alert. Multiple highways in Manitowoc, Outagamie, Shawano, and Waupaca counties remain closed in both directions due to flooding. Flood waters can cover roadways quickly and recede quickly. Motorists can check 511wi.gov to see real-time flooding impacts.

The timeline for reopening these roads remains unknown, as river levels are still cresting, and additional rain is forecast through the weekend. Many roadways throughout the region are impacted by these peak river levels and when the rivers recede. We are closely monitoring the roadways and river levels and will reopen them as soon as it is safe to do so.
