Storm sewer work to close lane, ramp on eastbound I-94 in Hudson

Release date: February 12, 2025

Storm sewer repair work on I-94 will result in lane and an interchange ramp closure in the St. Croix County city of Hudson.

Traffic control devices will be delivered Thursday afternoon that will be used to close the inside lane of eastbound I-94 at 7 p.m. from Front to Heggen streets. The inside shoulder also will be closed, but ramps to both interchanges from eastbound I-94 will remain open to traffic during the closure. The inside lane will reopen to traffic by Friday morning.

The inside shoulder and inside lane of eastbound I-94 will be closed again at 7 p.m. Monday from Front to Heggen streets, with the inside lane reopened by 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The inside lane of eastbound I-94 and the ramp from southbound WIS 35 to eastbound I-94 will be closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday, so the repair project can be completed. During the ramp closure, southbound WIS 35 traffic will be detoured on westbound I-94 across the St. Croix River, where they will exit at MN 95, turn left onto MN 95 and then turn left again to enter the on-ramp to eastbound I-94, heading back across the bridge into Wisconsin.

The work is weather dependent.
