    718 W. Clairemont Ave.
    Eau Claire, WI 54701
    Attn.: Christena O’Brien

Built in 1963, the structure needs maintenance. WisDOT is proposing:

  • Replacing the bridge deck
  • Painting girders and bearings
  • Making concrete surface repairs to bridge columns and then fiber wrapping them
  • Adding concrete approach slabs on either side of the structure
  • Reconstructing the pavement approaching the bridge
  • Replacing guardrail and pavement markings

Construction currently is scheduled for 2028.

During construction, County X will be closed, with traffic detoured via County D and County V; WIS 29 will remain open to traffic, but single-lane closures during non-peak travels times will be necessary to complete the work; and nightly closures of the on- and off-ramps at the County X/WIS 29 interchange might be required.
