The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss pavement improvements on WIS 49 from I-41 to Center Drive in Brownsville, Dodge County.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a short presentation starting at 5:15 p.m., at Lomira Town Hall, N10479 County AY, Lomira. The objective of this meeting is to familiarize the public with the purpose and need for the project and to obtain input on the proposed improvements.
This project will address aged and deteriorated pavement by replacing the pavement along WIS 49 between I-41 and Center Drive. Additional improvements include widen paved shoulders, shoulder rumble strips, updated flashing beacons at WIS 175 and replacement of four culverts. Construction is anticipated for 2029.
