Overview
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is proposing a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) project along I-94 in Waukesha County. The project limits will extend from Bluemound Road to Moreland Boulevard.
The proposed project will include applying High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) to the existing roadway.
Traffic Impacts
Potential traffic impacts include:
- I-94 single lane closures
- Short-term full freeway closure
- Ramp closures
All lanes and ramps within the project limits on I-94 are anticipated to remain open during the daytime hours.
Schedule
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in summer 2025.
