Overview
This proposed project is located on WIS 164, from approximately 430 feet south of Henneberry Avenue to approximately 670 feet north of County Line Road (Denoon Road).
WisDOT is proposing to improve 2.1 miles of WIS 164 to increase safety and address deteriorating pavement and culverts along the highway segment.
Proposed Project Details
The proposed improvements include:
- New asphaltic pavement and new aggregate base
- New, wider six (6) inch pavement marking
- Improve the subgrade in select locations
- Widen the paved shoulder from three (3) feet to five (5) feet
- Add rumble strips along the centerline and both shoulders
- Replace several deteriorated cross culverts
- Replace guardrail to meet current standards
Traffic Impacts
WIS 164 is anticipated to be closed to traffic during construction. A detour route will be posted and is anticipated to utilize WIS 36, WIS 83, and I-43. The construction contractor will be required to maintain access to local property owners and businesses.
