WIS 107, Wilderness Drive to County S, Lincoln County

Location

WIS 107, Wilderness Drive to County S, Lincoln County

Project Overview

The project is needed to address the deteriorating pavement conditions and drainage facilities on WIS 107. The existing asphaltic pavement is exhibiting signs of deterioration in the form of alligator cracking, longitudinal cracking, transverse cracking, patching and rutting. Several culverts along the corridor are showing signs of corrosion, damage, and silting, which could potentially lead to drainage failure. The current railroad crossing needs to be improved to better accommodate bicyclist and pedestrians.

The project's proposed improvements include:

  • Removing 1 inch of the existing pavement surface and replacing it with 2 inches of new asphaltic pavement
  • Repairing or replacing existing culverts
  • Upgrading the railroad crossing

Real Estate

No real estate impacts are expected

Traffic Impacts

Standard flagging operations will be used to control traffic as necessary. A proposed detour using WIS 64, US 51 and WIS 86 may be used to detour traffic during railroad improvement operations.
